The Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands (Marshallese: AolepÄn AorÅkin M̧ajeļ), is an island country located in the northern Pacific Ocean. Geographically, the country is part of the larger island group of Micronesia, with the population of around 68,000 people spread out over 34 low-lying coral atolls, comprising 1,156 individual islands and islets.

Visas are not required for passport holders from United States, United Kingdom, members of the European Union, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and Pacific Islands Forum countries including Australia Canada, European Union, Japan, New Zealand, Phillipines, South Korea and Taiwan for visits up to 30 days. Entry can be extended for a further 30 days for US$10.
All other visitors must obtain a visa before arriving. Visas cost US$100 for a three months visa, US$300 for a business visa.
