Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Balikpapan, commonly known as Persiba Balikpapan, is an Indonesian football club based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. Nicknamed Beruang Madu (The Sun Bear), taken from the city mascot of Balikpapan, the club was founded in 1950 and play their home games in the 40,000-capacity Batakan Stadium. In media, the tautology is often used and to distinguish the club with another club with the same acronym, Persiba Bantul.
